About
My name is Boon.
I’m a software engineer who’s worked for numerous tech companies and now work for a Fortune 500 telecoms company. Throughout my career, I have pioneered best practices, survived company downsizing, and generated ideas for products, projects and teams.
I started this blog because my software career was going nowhere. Or at least, it’s not getting me where I thought it would take me when I first started out. I’m relatively successful, but I’m not satisfied. And I know the reasons why.
This year, I decided to move to London to pursue a Masters in Human Computer Interaction, an attempt to salvage the love I once had for building great software. I am bringing my wife with me, and we’re about to depart on yet another crazy phase of our lives.
All the lessons I’ve learnt and am learning from applying the new rules of life in this new and crazy world, I try to put down here. My goal is simple - to achieve my dreams and help people achieve theirs, in a way that’s practical and relevant. If you’re a software engineer, maybe you’re in the same boat I am. Software engineers need to get ahead in life too.
Leap while walking.
