This blog is about the mundane and scary stuff that happens between me and my dreams and goals.
I’m a software engineer who’s worked for numerous tech companies, including a Fortune 500 telecoms company – it seemed shiny on the outside, but I got quickly bored of it. Things seem not to make sense in corporations once people don’t realize who their customers are anymore, and get so focused on themselves instead.
I quit my job last year, left my home country in the Far East, dug my heels in graduate school for a year and switched my career focus on real users instead of upper management. Then I got a job at a startup, and things got a little better… but life still has its ups and downs.
I want to talk about mundane and scary stuff about life and careers because no one seems to talk about it. And if I ever do become crazy successful, I can at least say that all the mundane and scary stuff was important and that you should eat your spinach too.
