I too abhor logistical tasks as well. I'm actually back from Singapore to KL, taking up a new role in my organization. The prevailing question that comes from my colleagues is "Why in the world did you come back? There is such much more opportunities there." I wonder about it very much myself too. But it seemed to me, before I came back, the best decision I could make. Now I just need to clear the doubts and weather through the best path in the storm. And you're right about having lots more options up your sleeve with regards to the job hunt - plus, of course, the added advantage you will have when you're applying for jobs 'on the ground' in London herself. I had to resign from my job and came here without any job. However, I was lucky to get a scholarship and get several part time jobs. However, things have got worse since then and everything points to a recession coming soon. Hope the economics pundits are wrong. I can fully understand what you are going though.
