Get to know your blog through Brazen Careerist. I am a member too. :)

You have many great writing here in your blog. Great job.

I wish I could write as early as you though. :)

Hi Susan,

That’s great! Another Malaysian blogger to the BC-list.

You write really wonderful posts. I’m inspired by your recount of your exit from the corporate world, and struggling to make it on your own.

But it’s more worth it to discover life like that, and to make a difference in this world. I’m just glad that forums like Brazen Careerist are around for us to share those experiences with each other.

Keep posting!

Yea, great idea on your parents' part!

I used to keep a bit of a travel journal as well when we'd travel as a family. I'd get back to school and use my experiences to write poetry for school, and really excel in short stories.

It never really fell apart for me, but I'm definitely more focused on business-oriented writing these days. Trying to focus on the informative and succinct rather than bubbly. Even on my blog I limit my colourful writing, but inject it here and there just to remind myself that creativity exists.

torbjorn,

Thanks for your comment.

There are so many different types of writers out there. I personally know close friends who prefer to write in poetry and prose to express themselves rather than commentaries. I think that's the cool part about writing - in that you can express yourself in so many ways.

Recently, I'm rediscovering my love for typography, which is related to writing, albeit in the form of letter aesthetics. I feel all manner of writing and its related art is so central to our humanness.

Interesting to read about how you started writing. I agree writing helps us to think critically, and blogging is definitely a good way to cure boredom and depression.
